Our working stock, built
by Geoff Jago.
One of the more interesting
pieces of track work. We call it a
Diamond Double Slip. If you
know better, please let us know.
We would appreciate it.
Apparently the correct term is
"double compound slip".
A view of our passenger
stock. The carriage at the rear
is designed to accomadate a
wheel chair and 2 carers.

Ludwig, owned by John
Wheeley.
A somewhat modified
Romulus, now fitted out
as an 0-6-0 with outside
Stevenson's valve gear.
John aquired the loco in
Sept 2005 and it has
performed well. Will soon
require the cast-iron
wheels replacing with
steel.
Ludwig doing what
comes naturally. She is
named after a king of
Bavaria who had a
penchant for building
castles and was
murdered to stop this
habit. John's wife Anne
is a Castle freak
Ludwig through the trees. A
good view of the scenic
nature of our track
For the technical bods, a
view inside the cab of
Ludwig. Just to make life
interesting, the regulator
opens opposite to the 2
other steam locos in our
stable!!
We normally burn anthracite in
the locomotives. It's approved
for smokeless zones. Possibly
thats why John is seldom seen
without his pipe. An attempt to
recreate the railway
atmosphere ??
